Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede
Chairman
Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, CFR is a distinguished investor, banker, and philanthropist with over three decades of leadership experience across financial markets, investment banking, strategy, and public-sector development. He is the Co-Founder of the Tengen Family Office, where he oversees a multibillion-dollar portfolio spanning banking, finance, insurance, technology, real estate, and energy, and serves as Chairman of Coronation Group, a leading African investment management conglomerate.
Aig-Imoukhuede is widely recognized for his transformative tenure as Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank Plc from 2002 to 2013, during which he led the institution’s growth from a small commercial bank into a top-tier African financial services group with international presence. He returned in 2024 as Chairman of Access Holdings Plc. He also pioneered the establishment of the FMDQ Securities Exchange, serving as its founding Chairman, and later became President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange Council, making him the first African to chair two national exchange platforms.
A strong advocate for sustainable financial markets and governance reform, he led the banking industry’s adoption of the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles and chaired the Presidential Committee on Fuel Subsidies, where his work helped save Nigeria over $6 billion in fraudulent claims. Through the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation—and in partnership with his wife, Ofovwe—he drives initiatives focused on developing future public-sector leaders, enhancing government effectiveness, and improving access to primary healthcare across Africa.
Aig-Imoukhuede serves as Chairman of EnterpriseNGR, sits on Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government International Advisory Board, and is a Board Member of the Aliko Dangote Foundation. His contributions to finance and development have earned him numerous honours, including Nigeria’s national award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), African Banker of the Year, and Ernst & Young West Africa Entrepreneur of the Year. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Benin, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987, and earned the prestigious TRIUM Executive MBA jointly awarded by the London School of Economics, NYU Stern, and HEC Paris. Laoye Jaiyeola

Mr. Laoye Jaiyeola is a distinguished Nigerian economist, visionary leader, and veteran banker with over 35 years of professional experience spanning central banking, financial markets, policy development, and board leadership.
He began his career at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), where he served for more than 15 years before joining Kakawa Discount House Limited (now FBNQuest) in 1995. There, he spent a decade rising through the ranks to become Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, a position he held for nearly 10 years with outstanding impact in Nigeria’s financial markets.
Mr. Jaiyeola’s leadership footprint extends across some of the most influential institutions shaping Nigeria’s economic landscape. He is the former CEO of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), a past President and Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), former President and Trustee of the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA) (formerly Money Market Association of Nigeria), and a pioneer Board Member of FMDQ OTC Securities Exchange. He has also served on several notable boards, including Nigeria Improving Business Environment for Prosperity (NIBEP) and the Nigerian National Advisory Board for Impact Investing (NABII).
Regionally, he serves as a policy expert at the Policy Centre for the New South in Morocco, where he focuses on macroeconomic regulation across Africa. He also played a pivotal role in creating the Policy Innovation Centre, a policy think tank of the NESG funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
A highly respected financial expert, Mr. Jaiyeola is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Scotland and a Fellow of the Senior Executive Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. His academic background includes a degree in Economics from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), a Master’s in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos, and an MBA from Bangor University, Wales, complemented by numerous executive programs at top global institutions.
Fondly known as JOJ, Laoye Jaiyeola continues to lend his expertise across high-impact platforms. He currently chairs Kainos Edge Consulting Limited and is the Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST), Oke-Imesi, Ekiti State.

Bola Adesola

Mrs. Bola Adesola is a distinguished banking executive and corporate leader with over 33 years of experience across treasury management, corporate banking, governance, and financial sector development. She is an Independent Non-Executive Director at CSCS Plc, the Chairman of Ecobank Nigeria, and Chairman of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
Mrs. Adesola began her banking career at Prime Merchant Bank before joining Citibank in 1990, where she held several senior treasury roles, including Country Treasurer for Citibank Tanzania. She later became the Managing Director/CEO of Kakawa Discount House Limited, after which she was appointed Executive Director at First Bank of Nigeria Plc, overseeing Corporate Banking and later the Lagos Directorate, while also serving on the boards of FBN Capital and FBN Trustees. In 2011, she became the first Nigerian and first female CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, a role that expanded in 2015 to include oversight of West Africa, with board responsibilities in Ghana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and chairmanship of Standard Chartered Bank Mauritius. She was subsequently appointed Senior Vice-Chairman for Africa at Standard Chartered Bank before retiring in 2021 after a decade of significant contributions to the Group’s African operations.
Mrs. Adesola also currently serves on the board of Imperial Logistics Plc and sits on its Social, Ethics & Sustainability Committee. A passionate advocate for women’s leadership, she co-founded Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) in 2001 and remains on its Board of Trustees. She has served on the boards of Nigeria Interbank Settlement Systems Plc, the Financial Institutions Training Centre, and the FinTech Association of Nigeria, and is an Honorary Fellow and former Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, as well as a founding Trustee of the Financial Markets Dealers Association.
Recognized globally, she was appointed to the United Nations Global Compact Board in 2015 and became its Co-Vice Chair in 2018. Mrs. Adesola holds a law degree from the University of Buckingham, UK, and is an alumna of Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School. She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK and Nigeria), a member of the Institute of Directors, and of Women Corporate Directors. Widely respected for her leadership excellence, advocacy for sustainability, and commitment to developing African talent, Mrs. Adesola continues to be an influential voice across the financial, corporate governance, and development sectors.
Dr. Jibril J. Aku

Dr. Jibril J. Aku is an accomplished banking executive, financial markets strategist, and respected corporate leader with over 34 years of experience, including 24 years in senior management roles across leading local and international banks.
He currently serves as the Chairman/CEO of Marathon Group, and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Marathon Asset and Funds Management Limited. Dr. Aku previously held several high-impact leadership roles, notably as the Group Head of Strategy at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) in Lomé, Togo, and as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ecobank Nigeria Limited from 2010 to 2015.
Before joining the Ecobank Group in 2006 as Executive Director, Treasury & Financial Institutions, he built an extensive career across key sectors of banking—including Capital Markets, Foreign Exchange, and Treasury Management. His earlier positions include Vice President and Country/Regional Treasurer at Citibank Nigeria Limited, and Executive Director, Operations & Technology at Afribank Nigeria PLC (2003–2005).
A prominent figure in Nigeria’s financial markets, Dr. Aku served as the Inaugural Group Vice Chairman of the Board of FMDQ Group PLC. He is the erstwhile President of the Money Market Association of Nigeria, now known as the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA), and represents the FMDA Board of Trustees on the Board of FMDQ Group PLC. His governance experience also extends to board roles at Nigeria Interbank Settlement System PLC (NIBSS) and the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC).
Dr. Aku holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Insurance from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as well as an MBA from the University of Benin, Nigeria. In 2014, he was awarded a Doctor of Science in Business Administration (D.Sc.) Honoris Causa by Achievers University, Ondo State. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) alongside several other professional fellowships.
Widely recognized for his deep expertise in treasury management, strategy and financial market development, Dr. Aku continues to influence the financial services landscape in Nigeria and Africa through his leadership and board engagements.
Emeka Onwuka

Mr. Emeka Onwuka is an accomplished financial services executive, chartered accountant and corporate leader with over 36 years of experience spanning accounting and tax, banking, consulting, and the oil & gas sector. He is currently a Partner and the Head of Private Client and Family Wealth at Andersen Nigeria, leveraging decades of multidisciplinary expertise to support high-net-worth clients and family-owned enterprises.
Emeka recently retired as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Seplat Energy Plc, a position he held until May 21, 2024, following his appointment in 2020. Prior to Seplat, he served as the Group Managing Director/CEO of Diamond Bank Plc, where he led the bank’s operations and strategic transformation, and was Chairman of Enterprise Bank between 2011 and 2013. His extensive board and governance experience includes his current roles as Chairman of FMDQ Securities Exchange Limited, Director at FMDQ Group Limited, and Director at Airtel Networks Nigeria Limited (Bharti Airtel), as well as previous board service at FMDQ OTC Plc, First Atlantic Bank in Ghana, and Ecobank Nigeria Limited, where he served until 2021.
Emeka began his professional career in 1988 with Arthur Andersen Nigeria, rising to Senior Consultant while delivering audit, tax, accounting and advisory services across banking, oil & gas, manufacturing and commerce before becoming a Chartered Accountant in 1991. He joined Diamond Bank in 1992 and held several key roles including Assistant Manager in Corporate & Investment Banking, Manager of the Oil & Gas Department, Treasurer responsible for multi-currency asset and liability management, Head of Commercial Banking for the Lagos Region, Group Head of Commercial Banking, and later Managing Director/CEO from 2005 to 2011.
Emeka holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MBA from the University of Benin, and he has attended executive programs at Lagos Business School and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Widely respected for his strategic clarity, leadership excellence and strong ethical values, he continues to contribute significantly to financial sector development, corporate governance and senior advisory across Nigeria’s private and public sectors.
Bola Onadele Koko

Mr. Bola Onadele Koko is the President, Cinqteos Group and pioneer Chief Executive of FMDQ Group PLC. With over two decades of high-impact experience spanning banking, market infrastructure development, risk management, and financial markets reform, he is recognised as one of the foremost architects of Nigeria’s modern financial markets.
Mr. Onadele began his career with Coopers & Lybrand Nigeria (now PwC), where he completed his articleship before transitioning into banking. His banking journey includes key strategic roles across several leading institutions: Citibank Nigeria (Chief Dealer), First City Merchant Bank/FCMB (Treasurer), Trust Bank of Africa (Managing Director/CEO), and Leadbank PLC (Chief Operating Officer). He later founded Financial Derivatives & Hedging Limited (FDHL) in 2001, a financial markets and risk management consulting firm through which he led initiatives to strengthen the Nigerian financial markets.
A trailblazer in market innovation, Mr. Onadele spearheaded several transformative infrastructure developments in Nigeria, including the 2-Way Quote trading system, screen-based dealing, and the establishment of key market benchmarks such as NIBOR, NIFEX, and NITTY. In 2000, he structured a landmark $285 million cross-currency interest rate swap for Econet Wireless (now Airtel) to facilitate its 2G license payment—one of Nigeria’s most notable capital market transactions at the time.
His contributions extend beyond national borders. In 2009, he served as Country Manager for the World Bank–IFC’s ESMID Program, supporting the development of Nigeria’s corporate bond market. He has also provided advisory services to financial regulators across Nigeria and Ghana and developed multiple financial market training modules covering Money Markets, Treasury Bills, FX, Bonds, Equities, Treasury Operations, and Market Risk Management. In 2008, he launched FDHL Analytics, a financial markets portal widely used by market risk managers and industry stakeholders.
Mr. Onadele sits on various boards and has previously served as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA), as well as a Director on the boards of Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS), Kakawa Discount House Limited, and several Nigerian growth companies. He is also the Founder of Bola Onadele & Co., Chartered Accountants.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), having won the ICAN Prize for Best Overall Performance in the November 1989 professional examinations. He is also a Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria.
